I've always wanted to be one of those people who could make really cute things - be it clothing, or wall art, or crafts. Unfortunatley, every time I try to do these things it ends up a complete disaster. I think it's due in large part to my lack of patience. I'm trying to increase this quality within myself, seeing as I'll have a little one around in just a few months that will test my patience :).
When Mike and I were in Salt Lake a month or two ago, we went to church at his home ward and his cousin's little girl had the CUTEST quiet book I had ever seen. It seriously kept me entertained almost the entire meeting - which is good because I tend to have a short attention span during sacrament meeting. I'm working on improving that, too.
I had the idea that I wanted to make one of these quiet books for my little fella, and started gathering the materials I would need. I borrowed the quiet book from Mike's cousin and took it home with me, knowing my mom and sister would help me. And help me they did! I can't really take credit for this book, as they did most of the work. But I helped come up with the ideas.
Voila! There are still a few finishing touches that need to be made, but I'm pretty happy about the way it turned out. My sister and my mom are amazing. Thanks for helping me.
P.S. on a side note, if you want to know just how awesome my husband is, look here.

And crafty you will be!
Pa TRISHA! That is amazing. I am UBER jealous of it. Will you make one for me for someday?! I love it so much - the cutest one I've ever seen by far - of course it had to incorporate cup cakes! That was awesome...and Go Mike! You Rock!
Craftiness is increasing and could get pretty crazy with your new birthday present :) Can't wait to play with the quiet book with our little guy!
That is adorable! Way to go! How did you bind the book?
Your ideas were amazing, girl! It was fun making them a reality. The key to creativity is starting with a GREAT idea! Your little man, and all your future little Sorenson babies, will enjoy your special book. And, by the way, Mike & his family won big brownie points with your birthday present!! PERFECT!
