Answered Prayers
So I have been fairly unhappy at my current job for the past year. Although my students are incredible, I haven't felt like I have had the skills to truly help them. I have struggled through the year and about two months ago I let my supervisor know that I wouldn't be returning next year. Talk about living on a prayer. I had given my notice and I didn't have anything in place for next year. Slightly reminiscent of moving out to Boston I must say. Well I have been applying all over the place and interviewing, and last Friday I interviewed at a middle school in Belmont. I loved it the moment I walked in the door. I loved the interactions I noticed between the teachers and the students as well as the teachers with each other. The interview went really well and they immediatley set up an interview between me and the superintendent. I had that interview on Monday, and got the phone call tonight offering me the position. I feel relieved, blessed, and so happy. I can't wait to get back into the middle school with sixth graders. Yes sixth graders. Call me crazy, but I love that age group.
