In just two days, I'll be on a plane flying to North Carolina to see my family. It's wierd, but the closer I get to the visit, the more homesick and excited I am to go! My family is amazing. Here are just a few things I love about them:
1. We all exaggerate. It's a trait we all inherited from my dear sweet mother. Most of the time we know we are exaggerating, and it's ok. It's often just for entertainment's sake anyway. I just know that this is one of Mike's favorite things about me :) (maybe not so much, but he's good and often just laughs at my ridiculous truth stretching)
2. We love to laugh. There has not been one visit home that I have not had a stomach ache from laughing really hard. We are all goofy, and I love that when I get together with my siblings and my parents there are no reservations.
3. We love each other - no matter how quirky, or odd we can be at times. I love how often we say it to each other. I love that we don't shy away from from hugs and shows of affection. I have definitely been raised to be affectionate, and I don't mind one bit.
This will be a quick trip. I get in Thursday afternoon and fly back to Salt Lake Monday night. It doesn't matter though. I will take any chance I can get to hang out with my fam. I'll miss Mike for a few days, but I'm sure he'll be able to manage without me ;)
