When I was in high school, I always loved it when I lost my voice. I thought I sounded super sexy and sultry, especially when I tried to sing. My favorite song to sing when my voice would start going, was "I try" by Macy Gray. I've been told I can still do a pretty fantastic rendition, just ask Miss Erica Jean :).
Anyway . . . I've been sick for going on a week now, and my voice finally decided it's done. No more. I felt it going 7th period as I was reading aloud to my students and sure enough, half way through tutoring I had gone from sultry throaty to squeaky. Yup, I can't talk right now, but I can squeak!
As I sit here and try to sing I'm not sounding like Macy, but rather like a disturbed chipmunk. Oh well. There's my contribution to the blogging world. Hopefully you catch me and my fabulous vocals before I sound normal again. funny.

I am jealous. I have yet to EVER lose my voice my entire life. I think it'd be a blast. Have a fun vacation, but come back to us soon Oh voice of Pa, it would be a sad world without it.
Oh my...I love when you sing "I try to say goodbye and I choke." Classic. That is all I have to say.
