Is it bad that I don't want to go to school? If I were a student, of course that would make total and complete sense. But as a teacher? Regardless of how right or wrong it is, these are the facts. This past week has been beautiful, it even got to 65 degrees at one point. Yesterday was sunshine and cloudless skies, which made the promised NorEaster semi-unbelievable. But here it is 10 o'clock on Sunday night and the winds they are a-howlin'. I have been checking the news stations every 10 minutes for the past two hours. Medfield schools - closed, Natick schools-closed, Newton schools- closed. The list goes on and on. Over 30 school districts closed, including almost ALL of the school districts that feed into our private school. How is it even possible that they would expect us to come in tomorrow?! I felt my anger growing that they would do that to us and then . . . .the call came. Blessed, blessed phone tree for school cancelations. Blessed, blessed snow day. The truth is, I'll regret this snow day later when they tack on this day to the end of the school year. But as with everything in life - give me the goods now, I'll worry about the consequences later.
So . . . enjoy your day tomorrow, I'll certainly be loving mine. Maybe I'll plan some lessons, maybe I'll crochet a beanie, maybe I'll make treats, maybe I'll forge through the snow to go next door and play with the Wii, maybe I'll lay in bed all day and read a book. Man, I love snow days!

Man, I am jealous! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a call tomorrow morning from work, but I'm not too hopeful. I've had a pretty lazy weekend though, so the only annoying thing will be how long it takes to get there!
found your blog. :) hope you're well.
