I'm also excited about Spring because I love running outside. The warmer it has gotten, the more I have loved my runs. I'm now up to 7 miles for my longest run so far and am running a 10k this weekend. It feels good to remind myself that I am strong and I can do hard things. I think it is a good lesson for me to remember when other things come along in life that seem "too hard".
Sam update:
He is now 7 months old and here are some of his newest tricks -
- He can sit unassisted - until you startle him. Then he gracefully topples over.
- He's obsessed with his feet and toes. This is one of my favorite baby tricks and I love watching him grab for them. Last night he grabbed for them in the bathtub and wedged himself with his little bum right up against the side of the tub, holding onto his toes. He got mad because he couldn't kick off the side of the tub, but he wasn't willing to let go of his feet to do this. Funny kid.
- He gives kisses. He'll grab my face with both hands and pull my toward him then proceed to eat my face. He laughs the whole while. I wonder if he thinks I'm trying to eat his face everytime I give him kisses.
- He has survived 2 double ear infections and 2 cases of RSV in the past month and a half. It's miserable when he is sick, but I'm learning a lot of patience.
- He was wearing size 12 month jammies the other night! Holy crap. I think they were on the small side of 12 month jammies, but still. He is now 17.7 lbs. Getting so big!
- He thinks it's super cool to wake up and start his day at 6 a.m. I'm not the biggest fan of this, so I will often just lay in bed until he gets really mad and wants me to come and get him. Sometimes if I lay in bed long enough, he'll fall back asleep until 7:30 - and so will I.
