Bees suck

I've never been stung by a bee.  Never in my entire life.  A little bit of fear - ok, a whole lot of fear surrounds any encounter I have with those blasted bugs.  I run and scream and jump and generally act like a complete idiot whenever I see one.  I feel like they sense my distress and like to torment me.  Anywho.  When I got back to our house after spending a few months in Salt Lake, I discovered we had 15+ hornets nests on our house.  Every eave had one.  I called pest control and they came and sprayed.  Mike knocked some down, but those hornets were bound and determined and started rebuilding immediatly.  Where am I going with all this?  Well, today, I was out helping Mike work on the yard.  I stood up to come inside and check on Sam when I felt a sharp pain in my behind.  I started jumping and yelling and maybe teared up.  I ran inside and ripped off my pants, and you guessed it, out fell a bee.  I freaking got stung by a bee! On my butt!  I guess there is a first time for everything.  Stupid bee.

Actually they sting! That is too funny and sad all at the same time. I am sorry that your first bee sting had to be in such a sensitive spot. I hope you are feeling better!

I guess your butt is the place to be! Remember when that spider got you in high school? Did the swelling from the sting at least give you a J-Lo booty?

Bee or Hornet? I know that the sting hurts, either way, but if it was a bee, then it died stinging you (has a barbed stinger that essentially rips out of his body, meaning certain death)whereas a hornet or wasp can live to sting another day (smooth stinger). It doesn't help the pain, but may give you satisfaction to know that he paid a high price for stinging you in the behind!

haha. I remember your fear of bees really well, from living in Boston. You make me giggle.
