Stealing ideas

*Update: My mom chose to go with "Ernie" rather than "Thrasher". It's a shame, I might still call him Thrasher.

So Mike did this on his blog, and thought it looked like fun. Some of you who read my blog have been part of my life through it's many different phases - awkward middle and high school years, college, adult life - you name it. I know I have many fond memories of each of you. Here's how this goes:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you.

here's my memory: freshman year, walking down the dorm hallway, hearing someone playing James Taylor on their guitar, popping my head in their room to find Miss Trisha, sitting and listening for a while, then joining in and singing with her...we have been close friends ever since...i'm glad you blog stalked me!

Um, mine would be a little baby girl with a furball of hair. Beyond that, I can not recall.

Just one memory, yeah right, I have a million. Lets start out with a night trip to the mountain to snowboard, that was wicked awesome! Then I faked you out and took you for an eight mile run down the Charles River, that was really a great run. How about when I farted on your hand? Or when you and Jared did your concert for us. Or the many times you have serenaded me with your songs. I loved the time we went candle pin bowling and then played the wii and everyone got sore arms. The Luau at the neighbors house was a great time. We've had many great kisses. Swimming in walden pond at midnight x2. Our first fight when you threw a mini tantrum, what an awkward 12 hour drive that was... The other night was pretty amusing and will make a great story someday! How about when you got called to be the co-chair with me on the welcoming committee? The song that you wrote for me is pretty fantastic. The 4th of July was pretty much picture perfect and one of my favorite times I have had with you. I could maybe go on, but I will stop for now. Can't wait for the next great story to unfold!

Okay, I totally ,misread he directions Trish. I thought I was supposed to put my FIRST memory of you. So one of my favorite memories is a recent one. When you came out here for Christmas 2 years ago and we stayed up watching She's the Man. Super Lame man.

I only have a very recent memory. I remember meeting you at the airport and how much I liked you right off, You are cute and fun, and seemed really at ease with Shayne and I. I have heard your cd and think you are awesome. I remember what a great day we had in new York, especially hot dogs at midnight. I was amazed at what a great job you did in your first marathon and how great you looked after. It was fun trip and I am glad you were with us. I hope there are many more good memories. Have you really kissed my son? Ha ha just kidding, but did he have to post that.

One of my million favorite memories of Trisha is coming home after a tough day and her asking if she could play "Man From Snowy River" for me. We would then sing "Desperado" together.

Wait, can I do one more. How about the time that on the White Trash Road Trip you got walked in on at the Porta Potty.

Let's see, "Oh, that is my favorite..." memories: Music>>singing, playing the piano, playing the guitar. Let's start with one of my most tender memories of a little 2-yr-old lying under an x-ray disk singing primary songs, to a 5-yr-old dressed in mouse ears singing a duet of "Somewhere out there" with younger brother Todd, to a little mermaid in pink flippers holding a seashell filled with jewelry, to the mischievous little sister in "Saturday's Warriors", of course all the high school musical performances, willingly singing in Church for Cyd - including the time you and your Dad fell apart in Sacrament Meeting, and always the whole family gathered around the piano singing(including Savanah)or playing for your daddy to sing. The list goes on beyond the music to include our times at Steak 'n Shake to review our most recent shopping finds, sharing favorite books, knowing that you will never be too old to curl up on my lap to talk. Our trips together have been great memories - Family vacations (even when you and your siblings had to walk across Nebraska!), Girls' Camp in the Sierras, Spring Break beach trips, discovering Boston, trips with Dad to Maine and New Hampshire, and of course Switzerland last Christmas. Trish, you are our "party in a box". You bring so much life and light to our lives. My most cherished memories revolve around your incredible confidence and faith in your Heavenly Father, knowing that He knows you personally and is watching out for you. Your complete willingness to follow personal revelation in complete obedience is a constant example to me. I love you, PH. Your ever-loving HM.

As I was driving last night, I thought about another memory...here are a few clues: the jeep, the Methodist Church parking lot, Monroe Road, hives. I think that the image of a hopping white and black bunny on wheels comes to mind.
Love, HM

Oh man, I HATED learning to drive stick on that blasted Jeep. So stressful. I had to wear white cotton for days and take oatmeal baths to make those hives go away. For those of you who don't know, I break out in hives when I get super stressed out. Kind of sucks.

Ummm...where to start...so many...I like how you hated me before you knew be cause I dated Jared Collette...or streaking on DT field, or going up the canyons and listening to tunes, having you find me naked in Jackies bed and I have no idea how it happened, pushing a bird out of your dryer vent...too many to recall...

my very first memory of trish was when i met the fam after tj and i were engaged. your mom was lounging on the ground and trish crawls into a ball in front of her and says "look i'm in the fetal position". my thought was, WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE!

when we went to Great America when we were like 11 and you bought TJ a shot glass as a gift. we had no idea what it was.
