Just eating a hot dog at 11 o'clock at night in Time Square.

Me and Mike in Time Square (you can't really see us, but we're the little people in the front of the picture)

If you look really closely, you can see a white poster being held up . . . that's us!!

Grand Central Station

I got a good giggle fron the second sign down . . . "Don't honk" Only in New York City.

I ended up calling in "sick" on Friday (sleep deprivation does count!), and slept in until noon. I could have slept even longer. Then Saturday was the big day for the half marathon. I was a little bit nervous, but so happy when I came in at 2 hours and 19 minutes! I had to laugh when I told my sister Nellie my time. Her response was, "oh, well good for you". There was no excitement in her comment, I think she was thinking . . . "2 hours? That's really almost embarassing how long you were running." I had to put it in perspective for her and tell her other people's times. It was then that she sounded truly enthusiastic. Thanks Smelly.
I was told that I was a little bit of an enthusiastic runner. I couldn't help it, whenever I saw someone I knew taking pictures I got all excited!!
Jo, Marci, and I. This was such an accomplishment and we were SO happy.

This is Mike's brother, who you've never met. I guess I'm blogstocking you tonight. Congratulations on your finish in the race and enjoying yourself with my fam in the big city. We've heard good things about you so I thought I'd say hi!
are you dating a guy whose brother's code name is "silent thunder"? i couldn't be more proud of you than if you'd just run a marathon! oh wait...loving you!!!
Congratulations! (on finishing the half-marathon, not finishing the hot dog, although also admirable) You inspire me as I am trying to learn how to run without hating it. Also, um, who's the boyfriend?
love this post - visiting NY and living in Boston-- love your life. Congrats on almost being done with school. My countdown is at 13 school days!
